Element of the nitrogen group; it occurs as crystal of triclinic system with silver white metal luster under normal temperature; fragile and lacking ductility and  malleability; sometimes show phenomenon of fire; atomic valency is +3, +5; it burns with blue flames when heated in the air and generates antimony(III) oxide; power antimony will burn with red flames in the chlorine gas and generates antimony pentachloride; under the airless condition, it doesn’t react with hydrogen chloride or acid hydrochloric; soluble in aqua regia and acid hydrochloric containing a small amount of nitric acid; toxic
