About Quartz(Silica
Quartz is a kind of ore formed by waterless silicate. It belongs to hexagonal crystal system, has glass luster and occurs as grains or blocks. The hexagonal-angle column crystal is with cone surface is called crystal. Hardness is 7. Granite and rhyolite contain a large amount of quartz. In addition, most sedimentary rock also contains quartz. It can be sued as the material for glass and ceramics.

Foreign matters such as Fe2o3 and Al203 in the original ore mostly exist as wandering grains or attach to the surface and can be removed through measures such as washing and re-selection to enhance the Sio2 content in the ore concentrate. Sand grains have good outer look (approximate to oval shape, smooth surface without edges or corners.
